SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!
Good Sam Wants YOU!
Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern wants you do Al-Anon service in 3 West!
3 West is the in-patient rehab unit at Good Samaritan Hospital for people with alcohol and/or substance abuse problems. Each Saturday, family and friends visit their loved ones, many of whom have never heard of Al-Anon.
Each Saturday we will hold Introductory Meetings from 1:15-2:00 pm on 3 West. These meetings are mandatory for visitors prior to seeing their loved ones. This is NOT a Beginners' Meeting. It is an introduction to the principles of the Al-Anon/Alateen program for families and friends struggling with a loved one's alcoholism.

Our purpose is to provide basic information and introduce the idea that they too can find help and hope in Al-Anon. We carry the message of Step 12 and it's an opportunity to reach out to potential newcomers as well.
Ideally we need two Al-Anon members to lead the meeting each week and answer questions. Al-Anon literature and a "script" will be available. Click HERE for more information.
